Valley Hispanic Bomberos Host 15th Annual
Bombero Bash

Phoenix, Arizona – On August 18, the Valley Hispanic Bomberos from Phoenix, Arizona held their 15th Annual Bombero Bash. The event was a complete success raising over $25,000.00 for charities, public education, recruitment and outreach efforts. Event coordinator, Firefighter Gabe Saenz (PFD), worked tirelessly to ensure all attendees experienced a fantastic evening.

Event attendees included the President of the NAHF, Alberto Olmos, NAHF Executive VP, Sammy Chavira, NAHF Western Region VP, Daniel Valenzuela, Valley Hispanic Bomberos President, Mike Duran, Phoenix Firefighters Local 493 President, Billy Shields and trustees Keith Rogers and Scott Crowley.

During the visit to Phoenix, NAHF President Alberto Olmos and Executive VP Sammy Chavira took full advantage of the opportunity to visit the new Phoenix Fire Chief, Bob Kahn and the Mayor of Phoenix, Phil Gordon.

Austin Councilman & Firefighters Donate
Equipment to Bomberos De Mexico














Newly elected Council Member Mike Martinez from Austin Texas (formerly an Austin Firefighter) along with the Austin Hispanic Firefighters, Saltillo Firefighters and Protection Civil of Coahuila, Mexico donated equipment to assist an underdeveloped community.














In the spirit of Sister cities the Hudson Bend, Austin Fire Department and the Saltillo Firefighters assisted a needy department in the Yucatan.
